Allan Checkoway - Health care insurance expert and Principal of Disability Services Group, Employee Benefit Advisors, located in Newton, Massachusetts. Allan Checkoway has over thirty years of healthcare insurance experience, specializing in the brokerage placement of disability and long term care insurance coverage. He authored Disability Income, A How To Guide, published by R & R Newkirk; and Disability Income Insurance, a text published by Kaplan Publishing. He has self-published a disability resource manual, Getting Paid identifying the most effective techniques for filing long term disability claims and appeals. Allan has also recently published ElderCare Survival Kit; Long Term Care Insurance Marketing Presentations.

His articles have been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Legal Economics, Lawyers Weekly, Journal of Financial Planning, CFO Magazine, Medical Economics Magazine, National Underwriter, Business Insurance Magazine, Ins. Allan received the National Association of Health Underwriters Norma Medill Award for Journalism. He served as President of the Disability Insurance Training Council as well as Regional Vice President of the National Association of Health Underwriters. He has been a speaker at the Million Dollar Round Table, Life & Health Underwriter, Financial Planning and numerous other meetings of professional, national associations.
